Trek

Fall is one of the best seasons to enjoy a hike for many reasons.

As summer passes, fall brings more tolerable weather for outdoor activities. While you will still have your fair share of warm days in Orange County during the fall, there are also many days when temperatures are in the 60s and 70s. This weather is ideal for hiking as you don’t. will not be drowned in sweat and suffer from heat exhaustion. The fall weather makes the hike much more enjoyable.

This season also brings some of nature’s most picturesque views and colors. The trees turn into beautiful shades of oranges, reds, yellows and browns. Hiking is less about getting to your destination than what you see along the way. The warm fall colors will make you want to slow down and enjoy it all.

Fall picnic

For many of the same reasons fall is perfect for hiking, fall is also a great time to enjoy a good picnic. If long walks aren’t your thing, picnicking gives you the perfect opportunity to get out and experience nature without strenuous activity. Grab lunch and take it outside to enjoy this season’s quaint and crisp vibe.

Turkey trot

The 44th annual Dana Point Turkey Trot will be held in the early morning of Thanksgiving on November 25th. Participants can run or walk a 5K, 10K, or 15K combo at Dana Point Harbor to burn calories before their hearty Thanksgiving meal. Children can also participate in a one-mile race.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three in the 10 km race. All participants will receive a medal, a T-shirt and a gift bag. The event will also include a costume contest with a prize awarded to the winner. The Turkey Trot will follow COVID-19 guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Dodgers Holiday Festival

The outer field of Dodger Stadium will be transformed into an ice rink this holiday season for the Dodgers Holiday Festival.

The festival will have tons of things to do for the whole family, including live musical performances, interactive light shows, light tunnels, the immersive Northern Lights experience, photos with Santa Claus, open bars and dealerships, bouncy houses and more.

While not a fall-themed event, guests can attend this event in late fall, November 26 through December 31. The rink will hold several 30-minute sessions each day, but after skating, guests are free to enjoy the festival activities.

Tickets must be purchased online in advance at www.dodgers.com/holidayfestival.

Football tailgate

The football season, which is America’s most watched sport, kicks off in the fall.

Go to a college or NFL game with your friends and family, and arrive a few hours before the game starts to enjoy a tailgate. Tailgates looks like a big community party because everyone shares the same interest.

However, even people who are not football fans can have a great time on a pre-game night, as participants can enjoy delicious food and drinks while spending time with loved ones. Hatchbacks are also fun for children, as they can run around and play games with all the other children.

The end of the year celebrations are the perfect time to have fun and forget about everyday stress. Enjoy the loud music and grill with your friends, family and passionate fans all around.
